About Us
This business exists to provide high quality, hand crafted polymer clay pieces to those who want something different. I provide unique and beautiful jewelry & accessories that are anything but ordinary or standard. All of my pieces are made by hand, durable, and hypoallergenic.
Pricing Philosophy:
When we see a low price, our brain is trained to associate it with lower quality. While that is often the case in the world of big box stores, it is not an accurate reflection of what’s happening here. The quality of my work and goods is high, but I have made an intentional choice to price below market, and I would love to tell you why. I have a personal commitment to keeping my prices low, at the cost of my own profits. Shopping small is often out of reach for people. It’s expensive to live in this world, and I refuse to artificially inflate my prices as a marketing tactic. I am committed to keeping my work accessible and affordable, to the best of my ability, while still valuing my own time and skills. This can be a hard line to walk, and I know that this is not the path every make can or should walk. Artists and makers deserve to be compensated fairly for their time, talent and skills. At Formation Clay I value honesty, transparency and making quality goods that are affordable for everyone. I truly want to give you the best deal that I am able to, because handmade goods shouldn’t only be available to those with the most means.
The quality here is a cut above because of the care and attention spent learning the craft of polymer clay artistry, as well as the time spent sourcing findings that meet my standards.
Everything we do is forming us- physically, mentally, spiritually. What we choose to wear is an expression of that formation. It's changing and evolving as we grow and age, just like we are. I hope that Formation Clay designs help you express your formation to the world, regardless of what stage you're in.
My name is Sarah Harris and I'm the maker behind Formation Clay. Kentucky based, and proud of it.
